Bayley: The Role Model

Every WWE fan has that dream of their favorite superstar becoming a heel, or need of a face change. That’s exactly what happened with Bayley. The former hugger became the 2019 Money in the Bank contract winner. The pony tail rocking hugger cashed in on the same night, by pinning Charlotte Flair; after the Queen had won the SmackDown Women’s Championship from Becky Lynch.

Old Bayley to New Bayley

After winning the title at Money in the Bank, the hugger held the title for 140 days, and ended up losing the title to Charlotte Flair at Hell in the Cell. This caused Bayley to get angry and throw a fit outside the ring. She cried out “why is it always me.. why is this always happening to me?” A few days later on Friday Night SmackDown, Charlotte was in the ring. The Queen had a match against Bayley for a championship rematch! Bayley came out to her entrance theme, and her Bayley buddies flying high. However, she was wearing a jacket with a hood over her head. She took off her hood and jacket, and it revealed that she chopped off her ponytail and was rocking a bob cut. She took out an axe like tool, and started slashing her inflatable buddies to the ground.

This shocked many people around the world. It even made kids cry, because Bayley was their hero. The change for Bayley, did not go over well with the kids around the world. The new and improved WWE Superstar made her way to the ring, and won the title back from Flair, and became a 2x SmackDown Women’s Champion. A new theme blared through the arena. It was clear that the hugger life of the new champion was gone!

History is Made

Bayley became the first ever grand slam champion in WWE history. She has held the NXT Women’s Championship, RAW Women’s Championship, Women’s Tag Team Championship, and is the current SmackDown Women’s Champion. The champ is also the longest reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion in history! The former hugger has plenty of history making moments to make, and I know for a fact that she will keep making them!
